At Custom Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc. (CME) we are committed to fostering a culture that celebrates diversity, promotes equity, and embraces inclusion in all aspects of our work. We believe that diversity strengthens our community, drives innovation, and enhances our ability to achieve our mission.
Two of CME’s Five Core Values are Professionalism and Challenges Themselves. We define Professionalism to include Integrity and Excellence and Challenges Themselves to include Doing it Right the First Time and Improves & Learns New Skills. We believe that our Core Values demonstrate our values and respect for diversity, upholding equity, driving innovation, challenging ourselves to be better people, and fostering an inclusive environment.
Diversity: We recognize and value the unique backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and identities of every individual in CME and the communities we serve. We actively seek to create a diverse and inclusive environment treating everyone with respect, valued, and empowered to contribute their full potential. A diverse workforce enables and provides an environment where workers demonstrate their capabilities as well as further develop their skills and abilities—while helping CME accomplish our mission to our customers.
Equity: We are dedicated to ensuring and promoting fairness, justice, and equal opportunities for all in our decisions and actions. We acknowledge and are committed to eliminating and dismantling any barriers that have historically marginalized certain groups. We strive to ensure that all individuals have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive.
Inclusion: We believe that true inclusion requires intentional efforts to create a sense of belonging for everyone. We promote open dialogue, collaboration, and mutual respect among all of CME’s work-force. We strive to create spaces where differences are not only accepted but celebrated.
Our Commitment: We understand that achieving diversity, equity, and inclusion is an ongoing journey that requires Challenging Ourselves, being Professional, engaging in reflection, and action. We are committed to listening to diverse perspectives, addressing inequities, and implementing inclusive practices at every level of CME. By living these principles we believe that we can create a stronger, more vibrant CME, and make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
