CME produces TPS units for Mobile Medical Corporation

St Petersburg , Florida , December 5, 2006

Custom Manufacturing & Engineering™ (CME™) of St. Petersburg, Florida, has
been awarded a contract to manufacture 40 Tactical Power Supplies (TPS) for Mobile Medical Corporation.

CME’s TPS will be integrated into Mobile Medical’s Single Pallet Unit, which is used inconjunction with deployable shelter systems used by the U.S. Government to power various subsystems and components.  The 40 TPS will used to power ten mobile units.
The TPS was designed under contract for the US Army CECOM at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey.  The newly designed units replace obsolete units which were built in the 1970’s.

CME’s innovative design for the TPS does not require a cooling fan as the previous version did, rather it dissipates heat upon convection.  The obsolete units permit contaminates, such as dust and sand, to enter the electrical system causing failures.

CME has manufactured nearly 2,000 TPS units to date for the US Army.  Currently, TPS units are operating in several fielded locations around the world, including Iraq and Afghanistan.
