System Testing Capabilities
Custom Manufacturing & Engineering™ (CME™) has significant hardware and software testing and demonstrating experience. CME follows approved test plans and procedures to conduct design demonstration, operational, or acceptance-type testing. The approved test plan contains the philosophy, strategy, resources, organization, evaluation, and schedule for the testing. The approved test procedures provide the step by step system trial and a written record of system responses. Testing is performed on all incremental (point) releases of both hardware and software to ensure that systems components operate together. Developmental testing concentrates on proof-of-concept, functional, and integration testing. Should a problem be detected, a corrective action is implemented and regression testing is performed to ensure that the situation is corrected and that no additional errors have occurred. This ensures that newly installed changes do not affect or impact other functional areas.
CME has developed and produced customized test equipment as well as using existing government furnished equipment. Experience in on-site test equipment production allows CME to develop and build project specific test equipment as required in support of development, qualification, and acceptance testing. CME personnel follow disciplined test engineering processes during project work efforts. Engineering test results in updated product specifications and test reports. Development testing of prototypes and simulations are performed to demonstrate whether performance, reliability, maintainability, etc., meet specification requirements. Tests verify the endurance, environment, and reliability against specific parameters.
We have an excellent in-house test team and facility, and maintain a broad array of test equipment including: high frequency oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers for frequencies up to 27 Ghz, network analyzers up to 40 Ghz, logic analyzers, power supplies etc.
CME contractor test experience includes MIL-STD-461 testing as applied to customer requirements. Applicable procedures and test plans are routinely developed to ensure full MIL-STD-461 compliance. If supplemental test facilities are required to meet customer requirements, CME uses qualified third party test facilities to guarantee adherence to specification requirements.
CME is an experienced contractor in MIL-STD-810 testing requirements. Besides our own in-house test capabilities, CME uses qualified third party test facilities to supporter full MIL-STD-810 requirements to guarantee adherence to the specification through acceptance and first article testing.
