Software Engineering Capabilities
Custom Manufacturing & Engineering™ (CME™) develops software based upon a philosophy of continues process improvement developed at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute called Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). This is a software development process that integrates continuous process improvement into the writing, application, and use of software. We instill this philosophy in our software team and empower them to find creative innovative solutions that our clients need to achieve their mission specific goals.
CME's software team includes expertise in monitoring and control systems, graphical user interfaces, web site development, database management systems, Microsoft Visual Studio tools, Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools, and embedded software and firmware including device drivers, and integration of real time systems including sensors and telecommunications devices.
CME's software organization includes expertise in the following areas:
- Sensors, Monitoring and control systems include:
- Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence,
Surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems
- Situational awareness software and displays
- Real-time embedded systems
- Antenna Beam steering control
- Unattended ground sensor systems
- Wireless monitoring and control systems
