CELEBRATES 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Custom Manufacturing & Engineering™ (CME™) celebrates 10 years of conducting business as a federal contractor and supplier to leading prime contractors and integrators. Primarily a power, sensors, and obsolescence/re-engineering firm, CME has grown from three employees in 1997 to more than 120 employees today. CME operates in a 36,000-square-foot facility and performs product development and manufacturing under contracts to a variety of customers, including the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Special Operations Command, and other federal agencies as well as private sector customers. CME develops, manufactures, and integrates products that address remote sensing applications, improved electrical power management and control devices, and the technical integration of special vehicle mission or support equipment. In addition to the company’s growth and success, CME has been the recipient of many prestigious awards, such as the 2006 MTAPP Innovation Award; 2004 Tampa Bay Top Technology Company (Small to Mid-Size); and the National Tibbetts Award for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) R&D Excellence.
CME will celebrate this milestone event over a week’s time by handing out different gifts to all employees to use and display commemorating CME’s 10-year anniversary. CME will also be hosting an employee luncheon and holding a raffle drawing for various door prizes.
When recently asked about the contributing factors of the company’s success and growth over the last 10 years, Dr. Nancy P. Crews, founder and president of CME, attributes much of the company’s success to those surrounding her. In the words of Dr. Crews, “I would like to thank all employees and community leaders for being supportive of CME in reaching this anniversary. CME looks forward to future opportunities."
