Custom Manufacturing & Engineering™

awarded multi million dollar military contract

St Petersburg , Florida , January 10, 2005

(as featured on Bay News 9)

A Bay area company has been awarded a multi-million dollar military contract to build tactical power supplies.

These supplies will be used for communications equipment in the continued war on terror.
Custom Manufacturing & Engineering™ (CME™) in St. Petersburg makes and builds equipment for the government and private industry. But the $5.5 million contract has put them on the front lines.

"That's about one-third of our revenue for the year, so it's a very significant win for us,'' company president Dr. Nancy Crews said.

Custom Manufacturing & Engineering has also been awarded a five-year military contract totaling $18 million to provide computer program services for the federal government. The company will develop software for the general service administration.

The company was founded in 1997 as a woman-owned small business. It also has offices in Orlando and Camden, NJ.
