Mechanical Engineering Capabilities

Custom Manufacturing & Engineering™, Inc. (CME™) maintains a well versed mechanical engineering staff having either graduate level degrees or significant graduate level coursework beyond their formal Bachelor's of Science education. Our mechanical engineers encompass many areas of expertise from electronic packaging, thermodynamics, factory automation, custom designed electro-mechanical systems, to high pressure gas systems. They have an average of 20 years of experience applying theoretical techniques and practical experience to their designs and implementation. CME uses "Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire" as its main products development parametric solid modeling Cad tool which allows the engineers to test and thereby optimize designs for structural, dynamic, thermal, and durability performance.  It minimizes physical prototyping, increasing creativity and helps deliver better products in less time. We also use "SolidWorks" & AutoCAD for basic concepts and sketches. CME's engineering personnel use MATLAB for analysis and numerical computation and analyze designs using proven mathematical modeling from finite element analysis, stress & strain analysis, and dynamic analysis to thermodynamic analysis using MathCAD and COSMOS modeling software.

Prior to fabrication, the designs are analyzed mathematically using a variety of techniques to ensure integrity. In support of CME's mechanical engineering expertise, CME has a model shop that a full range of capabilities to fabricate prototype devices in order to verify theoretical designs before implementation.Instrument Design
